A Biorisk Management Framework Workshop was organized in August to bring together relevant stakeholders from the national, regional and district levels, public health, local hospitals, veterinary and research communities to discuss a comprehensive and standardized approach to implementing biosafety and biosecurity practices in Ghana. A plan of action was also developed, in order to identify key activities that should be performed to enhance the biorisk management system in ghana, and that could be supported by partners, including GHSA funds.

The 3 day workshop was led by Arnaud Orelle and Obert Kachuwaire, was held in AH Hotel & Conference, in Accra, Ghana from July 31St and August 2nd 2018, and was funded by the Association of Piublic Health Laboratories (APHL), as part of the Global Health Security Agenda (GHSA)
