A veterinary laboratory system assessment has been conducted last year in March 2016, thanks to the participation of representatives of CNERV, INRSP and Veterinary Services. Following this assessment a strategic action plan for the next four years has been developed during a workshop in June 2016. During the workshop, participants focused on planing actions to improve areas whith poor scores. The action plan includes technical training sessions in several fields. To start this cycle of training, Dr Sylvain Naulot conducted a training on water and food microbiology from 10 to 14 April 2017 in Nouakchott. This first session was a theoritical training, which will be followed in May 2017 by a practical session.

This project is funded by CDC Atlanta.
