The objectives of the training week were:
- Present all ISO standards which can be used in and for laboratories
- Provide details on the most common ISO standards, namely 9001, 15189 and 17025
- Provide several important documents translated into Russian, such as checklists and summaries
- Be able to discuss these different standards with foreign experts
- Develop a roadmap for ISO15189 accreditation
- Have a closer look on the different certification and accreditation schemes available in Georgia and Armenia
Workshop:
- Participation of 20 attendees
- Hosted at the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health, Tbilisi, Georgia
- Occured between January 27th – 31st 2014
- 5 days of training
Different attendees:
- 10 persons from Armenia
- 10 persons from Georgia (8 from Tbilis; 1 from Kutaisi and 1 from Batumi)
- Several observers (from CDC, CARD Armenia, CH2MILL Armenia and IQLS)
With different backgrounds:
- Human lab specialist
- Food, Water, Veterinarian lab specialist
- Officer at MoH level
- Officer in charge of QA and healthcare recognition
