Early October, Dr. Eric Garnotel, head of Laveran military hospital laboratory (Marseille, France) and Dr. Pauline Lévigne (IQLS) worked with Armenian Infectious diseases specialists in order to develop diagnostic algorithms for outbreak response, according to the syndromic approach recommended by WHO.

This workshop, conducted from 3rd to 10th October, gathered medical doctors, epidemiologists and microbiologists from public and NCDCP networks.

After 7 days of constructive and sucessful discussions, 4 tentative algorithms were developped (management of acute diarrheal syndrome, acute respiratory syndrome, unexplained fever, haemorrhagic fever). Those algorithms can be presented to the authorities for adaptation and validation at a national scale.
