A tuberculosis laboratory system assessment has been conducted in June 2017 by Arnaud Orelle in Niger. By assessing both the National Reference Laboratory for Tuberculosis, a sampling from various laboratories within the countries (from all levels, from regional to peripheral), as well as a detailed system assessment, many recommendations could be provided to the main actors and partners for Tuberculosis surveillance and diagnosis in Niger to strengthen their TB laboratory system.
