Ms. Zaruhi Davtyan has recently joined IQLS Armenia representation as a National Laboratory Specialist. She is responsible for implementation of the laboratory strengthening project in Armenia and closely works with human health and veterinary laboratories.

Prior joining IQLS she has been actively involved in agriculture and food processing training and consultancy. During her 28 years of work experience, she has planned and implemented various projects related to animal health and food-safety standards, conducted food safety trainings for the food processing industry and governmental regulatory agencies; consulted food processing plants in development and implementation of food safety management systems, as well as assisted in development of more than 20 new food products. She has been engaged in implementation of food safety studies and laboratory assessment studies in Armenia and neighboring Georgia. She has received an extensive food safety training in the US and Europe and has been internationally qualified in teaching key food safety courses in the region. Currently, in addition to her laboratory capacity building activities, she continues rendering food safety services for private and public sectors, as well as educational establishments.

Ms. Davtyan obtained her Master of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering from the College of Engineering of the American University of Armenia. Another Master of Science Degree in Biophysics she obtained from the Graduate School of the RA National Academy of Science of Armenia.

Joining IQLS she considers not only as a new career development opportunity, but also a new page in her life. She will necessarily offer a tour to the most beautiful places in Armenia to all guests visiting her country, which eventually will end up at the local jazz club.
