The “unité de Veille Sanitaire” organized a Regional Technical committee (SEGA-COI) in Antananarivo, Madagascar, From 17 to 19th November 2014.
The aim of this technical committee was to identify the priority actions in terms of vector control, support to public health laboratories and implementation of the “One Health” initiative program.

October 2014. IQLS has been hired by DMDP (Diagnosis Microbiology Development Project) to perform a comprehensive assessment of the Central Media Making Laboratory in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Among other products, the CMML produces liquid media for blood culture, and Petri dishes for culture (sheep blood agar, chocolate agar, Müller Hinton, etc.)

Following a first successful mission in May, Arnaud Orelle is on mission in the Central Hospital of Mahé to support the Molecular Unit from the Public Health Laboratory (20t to 31st October). The main aim is to implement the dengue serotyping PCR technique and to establish the nucleic acid extraction from Dried-blood Spots.

Dr. Antoine Pierson is currently leading a team in the Southern part of Kyrgyzstan (Och, Jalalabad) when Arnaud Orelle is heading with a local team to the Northern part (Naryn, Karakol, Cholpon Ata). Assessments cover both SES Microbiology laboratories as well as clinical laboratories from Hospitals.

IQLS - Laboratory System assessment in Kyrgyzstan
In August 2014, Dr. Antoine Pierson and Mr. Arnaud Orelle performed a 1-week Laboratory System assessment in Kyrgyzstan for the Center of Disease Control and Prevention Atlanta/Central Asia. The Kyrgyz laboratory system was assessed using a standardized laboratory assessment tool developed by IQLS.

IQLS - Closure of the 3rd Regional EQA Survey on Chikungunya and Dengue identification in Indian Ocean
EQA designed and performed for Commission Océan Indien / Epiconcept.
This 3rd Survey of the program encompassed 5 participating laboratories from 4 Indian Ocean countries and 1 reference laboratory. The program consists of specimens focusing on dengue and chikungunya diagnosis using molecular biology techniques (PCR).
